About CPGN

Mission Statement

To protect children from abuse and neglect by combining forensic expertise, evidence‑based research, and compassionate family support. We investigate complex cases, empower families, and drive policy change so that systems meant to protect children actually do.

Who We Are

The Child Protection Global Network (CPGN) is a nonprofit organization of forensic investigators, clinicians, legal advocates, and trained volunteers focused on the hardest‑to‑resolve child protection cases.

We partner with professionals and communities worldwide to deliver court‑ready evidence, practical family support, and policy solutions that reduce harm and restore childhood.

What We Do

  • Forensic investigations into complex abuse and neglect, including Munchausen by Proxy / FDIA.
  • Case consultation and legal navigation for families facing parental alienation and judicial failures.
  • Training and education for professionals, caregivers, and community leaders.
  • Evidence‑based research into parental mental health, systemic gaps, and risk factors.
  • Policy advocacy and legislative briefs to fix procedural and legal failures in CPS and courts.
  • Family support and recovery services that connect caregivers to resources, clinicians, and legal help.

Forensic Investigations & Research

- We collect and analyze data, monitor patterns, and investigate cases in depth to build a strong factual basis for advocacy and judicial processes.

- Our research is evidence-based and rigorous, designed to inform decision-makers (judges, CPS, law enforcement) about systemic risks and patterns of neglect or manipulation.

Case Support & Family Guidance

- We help gather and organize documentation, propose expert evaluations, and connect families with relevant support services.

- We support families through legal processes, helping them understand their rights, navigate CPS and court systems, and respond to complex behaviors from the alienating parent or system failures.

Policy & Advocacy

- When gaps in regulation or policy are identified, we develop Legislative Policy Briefs to recommend change. These briefs are grounded in real-world data, case studies, and peer-reviewed research.

- We work to influence child protection law reform, improve training for social workers and investigators, and promote accountability in judicial and protective systems.

Education & Training

- We provide trainings, workshops, and educational materials for legal professionals, social services, caregivers, and other stakeholders.

- Our goal is to build capacity so that those working in child protection can better understand complex dynamics like parental alienation or covert abuse.

When systems fail, children pay the highest price. Complex cases—where abuse, neglect, parental manipulation, or institutional inexperience intersect—require specialized skills and rigorous evidence. CPGN fills that gap: we protect children today and build the evidence and policy change needed to prevent harm tomorrow.
